Does charging an ipod nano cause anything to download to your computer?

i am visiting my gma for the summer and i need to charge my ipod nano. But she is worried something will download to her computer; either itunes or my music. Which she absolutely doesn't want. Will this happen? I only need the battery charged. Please help or this will be a very long summer!
