Being silent when being attacked?

Does the course in Miracles says that we should keep silent and not react when being angered over. Like if someone scolds us or even say hideous things and lies or rumors about us, we should just keep silent and just forgive and forget? leaving everything to the hand of the Holy Spirit knowing that we shall triumph even in silence?
