Just saw something up in the sky, what could it be?

i like to star gaze, but recently (the past three days), i've seen something i can't explain happen in pretty much the exact same place each night. now, i know what a shooting star looks like, i see a lot of those, i know what the space station looks like, and i know what satellites look like. i also know what it looks like when *** holes point lasers :p but this was different. it pes through the same two stars each night, and loops around, and zigzags, so its movement is not at all constant. once it reaches a certain point it slowly fades away and grows smaller. tonight, as it was fading away, i saw a second appear almost like, if you can imagine mitosis. they did a loop around each other then vanished. i'm being rational, thinking of likely, earthly explanations but, i'm pretty convinced at this point. i even tracked the sighting paths of anything in orbit and nothing. ANY IDEAS?
