Using fleece for guinea pigs? and Guinea lynx question.?

The Cambridge Cavy Trust recommends against woodshavings and sawdust as these can cause respiratory problems. I use veterinary fleece for some of my piggies, with newspaper underneath, others have newspaper, and another is on towels at the moment. I clean them out every day, and wash the fleece and towels each time. The fleece will keep your piggies dry, but you will need to have newspaper underneath to soak up the pee; it doesn't get wet on top, but it does underneath. Towels just get wet if you leave them, so you need to wash them too, and have newspaper underneath.
